Trong thị trường ngày nay có rất nhiều chương trình chống virus như  Avira , Avast, AVG, Zone Alarm, Bitfender v…v
Trong đó có một số được cho Free như AVG, Avast, MS Essentials ,vân…vân…
Chúng ta cần phân biệt Anti-virus program và Internet security program
Anti-virus program là chương trình chỉ có scan các loại virus
Còn Internet security program là chương trình scan virus , spyware, phishing, firewall , v…v.. nói chung nó có khả năng bảo vệ tất cả các loại đe doạ từ bên ngoại vào computer
Ví dụ Software AVG , nó chỉ cho bạn xài phần Anti-virus thôi , còn các loại độc hại khác nó không bảo đảm , cho nên nó thường gạ gẩm bạn mua phần Internet Security protection
Vì thế có một số bạn cứ tưởng install cái AVG Anti-virus là an toàn xa lộ , bạn nên biết , nó chỉ scan virus thôi , còn các loai độc hại khác bạn [phải kiếm thêm các software khác để bảo vệ máy cho mình
Riêng software Microsoft Essentials là software vừa chống virus , vừa chống các loại độc hại khác như spyware, malicious software ,nó được coi như một loại internet security program ,  cho nên nếu bạn sử dung software này của MS thì bảo đảm cho bạn hơn các loại khác
Trong window 8 và 8.1 đã có sẵn rồi , đó là software Window Defender , bạn không cần phải cài thêm software nào nửa
Trong window vista và 7 , tôi đề nghị các bạn nên xài cái software này
